Description
The La Cusinga Eco Lodge offers a nice mix of rain forest and ocean by being situated in an area with an extensive area of tropical forest in the hills, and the Ballena Marine National Park offshore. Around the lodge and on guided hikes in the forest, guests might see the bird after which the eco lodge was named, the "Cusinga" or Fire-billed Aracari (a small toucan). Offshore, they might spot some of the humpback whales that use the calm waters of the marine national park for calving. No matter
where they look, they will probably see some tropical wildlife and exuberant vegetation around and near the lodge. Green conscious guests can also be assured that they will be staying at a very green hotel as this lodge is active in a variety of conservation projects and posts conservation related news on their website on a regular basis.
