The Amatierra Hotel and Retreat advertises itself as a wellness center. This appears to be an accurate description as the owners seem determined to provide guests with whatever they need to heal or become rejuvenated both in body and mind. As if the gorgeous tropical surroundings weren't enough to make anyone feel like they were in paradise, there are also two psychotherapists available for guests and a certified masseuse. One of the owners also gives yoga lessons while the other can recommend
soothing music and medicinal herbs. Accommodation comes in the form of small houses that are furnished and equipped with just about anything a guest would require while becoming well again in Costa Rica
