Description
Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge is situated on the Golfo Dulce in southern Costa Rica. They accurately describe their front door as being the sea (where dolphins are often seen and the fishing is good), and their back door as being the rain forest (where howler monkeys wake up guests with their loud morning calls, and over 200 bird species make their home). Although guests will see plenty of birds and animals just in back of the lodge, they can also have more in depth experiences in the jungle
along trails that access their private reserve. A good variety of animals are possible along the trails (including cats) especially on guided night walks as the private reserve is connected to larger, lowland forest blocks that make up the Golfo Dulce biological corredor.
